A Pair of Suspects Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes among them the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were seized.
